Path Pending was born from the truth that too many of us walk the in-between alone.

Like so many others, I’ve found myself asking, “Now what?”

Sometimes it’s a layoff. Sometimes it’s burnout. Sometimes it’s an impossible choice. Sometimes the path we think we’re on changes, and we’re left standing at the edge of something new, unplanned, and undefined.

That space is where Path Pending begins.

What makes uncertainly hardest isn’t the uncertainty, it’s the isolation. The feeling that you’re the only one who doesn’t have it figured out. The truth is that you’re not alone.

All around us are people navigating their own “Now what?” moments. People laid off from dream jobs, pivoting into new industries, quietly burning out before finally choosing something different. People redefining work after layoffs, family and life changes, mental health challenges, chronic burnout, grief, relocation, or simply realizing they want something more aligned with who they are now.

Path Pending is here to honor that space. To make it visible. To gather the stories still in motion. Real, raw, not-yet-finished stories that remind us transformation doesn’t have to look polished to be powerful.

This isn’t just a project. It’s a reminder that being in transition isn’t falling behind, it’s being brave enough to navigate the unknown.
